The Board of Directors is the highest governing body of the Europe-Uzbekistan Association for Economic Cooperation (EUROUZ). It is composed of senior business leaders from both Europe and Uzbekistan who provide strategic direction, oversee the Association’s activities, and ensure that EUROUZ delivers lasting value to its members.
Meeting regularly throughout the year, the Board sets the overall priorities of the Association and provides guidance to the Secretariat on key decisions. At its first meeting following election, the Board appoints a Chairman and a Treasurer, who serve for the duration of the Board’s mandate.
In addition to its elected members, the Ambassador of the European Union to Uzbekistan holds honorary permanent membership of the Board by virtue of position, underlining the Association’s close connection with European institutions while safeguarding its full independence. Honorary board membership may also be conferred upon distinguished individuals by decision of the membership.
Through leadership, oversight, and a balanced representation of European and Uzbek business interests, the EUROUZ Board of Directors ensures that the Association continues to serve as the official European business platform in Uzbekistan — fostering dialogue, strengthening partnerships, and supporting sustainable growth.
All EUROUZ members are eligible to be elected to the Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting of EUROUZ Members.
EUROUZ Board is comprised of between 5 and 11 Board memebrs
As of the 2026 Annual General Meeting, the newly elected EUROUZ Board of Directors will serve a two-year term instead of the current one-year term.
